How do I go back to service pack 2?

Hi I currently have windows xp service pack 3 and I want to go back to service pack 2 because service pack 3 is interfering with my steam games.



By doing this will it cause any harm to my games?

for example lower framerate,loss of data or anything else?





Edit: my problem with steam is that my steam games will not launch... the games are Dark messiah , deus ex invisible war and the single player demo of dawn of war 2How do I go back to service pack 2?
The best way to downgrade would be a clean install of Windows.
