I'm just wondering how long this setup would last me playing games on max settings before I would need an upgrade? Games I plan to play are Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Elder Scrolls Skyrim, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and Mass Effect 3 if that gives you an idea of what I need and use?How long would a Sandy Bridge 2600K with a single Radeon 6970 last me gaming before I would need an upgrade?
That's a very new CPU. You'll need to upgrade probably in 4 years. Dual Cores that came about 4-5 years ago are still ok to have now so I don't see why a CPU now is ok to have 4 years from now. Your graphics card will become outdated slighty faster though. It'll be outdated within 2 years. A 4870x2 was the best AMD card 2 years ago. It is not able to play Crysis at maxed settings at high resolutions and has the inability to play games in DX11.
If you don't mind playing games in low-medium settings, your graphics card will last 4-5 years before you need to upgrade. Right now the 6970 is capable of playing anything at maxed settings with the exception of Metro 2033. It'll be good for Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 as well.
That set up will no doubt last you awhile unlike what the others have said.
While it is true that games do not fully utilize all the cpu cores, thats changing fast. Bad Company 2 has support for 2 to 8 processor threads, Battlefield 3 will no doubt have that as well. The 2600k also is really great on overclocking, reaching up to 4.5Ghz with ease on air.
That rig will last you awhile, the gpu may need replacing in time, but that CPU is near the top of benchmark charts, and the graphics card would be fully utilized instead of being bottlenecked.
I would say go for it, unless your ok with waiting for 2011 sockets (which will probably be a lot more expensive.) Although I wouldn't really wait for bulldozer, AMD's only cpu that is in the top charts of cpu performance is their server opteron, which even is still crushed by Intel's other cpus.
So long answer short, it will indeed last you awhile, it might help to get a P67 motherboard that supports multiple graphics cards though, so your games play really well. How long would a Sandy Bridge 2600K with a single Radeon 6970 last me gaming before I would need an upgrade?
Well, based on Moore's law, 6 months before it's outdated. But based on those games, you'll be able to play em near max forever since those games already exists. If your referring to future games of that caliber, probably a couple of years, games change too fast to stay at the top performance. Personally, Nvidia is far superior. I'd recommend the new GTX 560 or 580. and no need to get the 2600k. Slower game performance than the 2500k. Even though it's "better", it's not utilizing all 8 threads since most games don't even use more than 1 or 2 cores. The 2500k gets higher frame rates and all around better performance than 2600K, plus its cheaper. Unless your gonna be using the CPU for processing things that require 8 threads, its useless.
July 26th, 2012. Then you will need a upgrade.
I'm kidding. Honestly sooner then you think. The games you named are high demanding games.
Your probably looking at a year in a half. Then you will probably have to move your settings from very high to just high.
But by that time. The HD 7 Series should be out. The HD 6 series should have a price drop. And you should be able to pick up another 6970 for about $200. Then you should be good for another year in a half.
Obviously I am pulling these numbers out of my ***. I am just estimating. How long would a Sandy Bridge 2600K with a single Radeon 6970 last me gaming before I would need an upgrade?
For most gamers the equipment becomes out dated long before you really need to upgrade! In about 6 months or so the new 2011 socket will be out with the new intel CPU that promises 30-50% better than the 1155 Sandy Bridge, Then too. AMD will roll out its new Bulldozer with the AM3+ socket, It too promises great results. then there is the Promise of the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot with 8GT/s as apposed to the present 5GT/s. AMD has got there series 7000 video cards in the works and Nvidia is suppose to have there series 600 cards out soon. They all PROMISE a lot but independent benchmarks tell the score Just wait till the "smoke clears" and pay little attention to the manufactures Hype...Of course they say its wonderful..they are trying to sell it!!

Which 2 games should i buy?
I know its hard to give an answer when all the games are different but im unsure which 2 i should get and was hoping for an answer
Dead Island
Resistance 3
Dirt 3
Deus Ex
Driver San Francisco
Shadows of the Damned
Top Spin 4
Crysis 2 (people still play this online?)
Answers are appreciated thanksWhich 2 games should i buy?
Those games are all sh.it you should buy gears of war 3 and the other call of duty game.
wow, in all truth im behind on the 360 games...but i beat crysis 2, and it was really fun...i definetly wouldnt say it was online friendly, and i wouldnt play it through a second time...but if youve played the other games (i played them over and over and over and then on a harder difficulty till i was bored to death...), then you might wanna try it for the experience (definetly the good graphics that everyone was hyped about)Which 2 games should i buy?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is extreme! The system is very easy to understand, with meaningful options, and you will end up with a character that supports your game play style after only a few missions worth of xp. The Hacking is a neat little sub game that you can easily master and it is so well integrated that you will find yourself looking for things to hack around every turn.
Dead Island very good game open world game
Resistance 3 never heard of it
Dirt 3 dirt 2 is better but the graphics are cool
Deus Ex boring game and meet what gamers wanted
Driver San Francisco seems shitty as the other
Shadows of the Damned never heard of it
Top Spin 4 virtua tennis 4 is better
Crysis 2 (people still play this online?) game sucks it does not follow crysis 1 story ea says that its a trilogy but from seem in cry 2 is not
in other words buy dirt 3 and dead islandWhich 2 games should i buy?
Dead Island, for sure: awesome graphics, pretty decent reviews %26amp; nice gameplay
Resistance 3: I've heard good things from its online beta
Don't buy Crysis 2, i've been trying to get rid of it for months...always unsuccessful -___-
Well if you want a good refresher from the usual zombie games id say Dead Island and Shadows of the Damned, but R3 and Deux Ex are both great games aswell.
Crysis 2 because the single player is pure awesome. Great gameplay and the storyline is great. People still play online. For the second gam, I would either get Dirt 3 or Dead Island.
Dirt 3 and Crysis 2 for sure

Shadows of the Damned, by experience, is the only one I can really recommend. It has an awesome storyline (once you actually pay attention to the storyline), great Resident Evil-style controls, amazing graphics, some fun and sometimes confusing puzzles, and a lot of dirty jokes. (I s*** you not, the first weapon you have is called the B-o-n-e-r [dang censors].) It's a truly good game, but it's not really appropriate for young children or religious activists due to a ton of demons, a ton of dirty jokes, and a ton of comedic cursing.... Oh, and a cannibal that rides a Darkness-farting horse.
With the playthroughs by theRadBrad and GhostRobo on YouTube, I recommend Dead Island as the second choice.Which 2 games should i buy?

Dirt 3
Deus Ex
These in my opinion are the best 2.
I have most of these games and I would say get Driver and Resistance3. I have both sf and r3 and they are both really good. Top spin4 is a realistic tennis game and at times can be intense but not really worth your time, Crysis 2 is amazing and awesome so they only reason I dont recommend this is because nobody does play this online anymore.
Dirt 3 is ok but not as good as driver, Dead Island is just fallout with zombies and is a big letdown, Shadows of the Dammed is just god dam bad! As for Deus ex get this if you can squeeze in an extra game because it is really fun!
aNGRY bIRD rio AND mOTO GP2 ,THEY ARE GOOD
They all suck apart from Dead Island, just wait a few week for FIFA 12, then a further few week for Elder Scrolls Skyrim and MW3.
i would personally be stuck between dead island, resistance 3 and deus ex. But like most people are saying i would wait a while for even better game to come out like skyrim, battlefield, fifa, batman etc. and then get these games when they're a lot cheaper.

Is mass effect 2 good?
I know this is late, but it's cheap now and i just finished deus ex and LOVED it, as both are rpg's i wondered if mass effect 2 is as fun and if it doesn't get confusing i usually get lost in rpg'sIs mass effect 2 good?
Mass effect 2 is a brilliant game. It is a mixture between third person shooter and rpg elements in gameplay and has a great dialogue system, voice acting, script, graphics and a lot of other awesome features. If you haven't bought the first mass effect then I recommend that you would it is more of an rpg then mass effect 2 and also a great game or if you have it on ps3 then I would get the interactive comic as the default settings for the second game give you nearly all the evil choices and decide your love interest which you would have been able to alter if you played the first game or went through the interactive comic. Is mass effect 2 good?

Thief deadly shadows keeps going to desktop while loading missions is there any way to stop this?
I am running thief deadly shadows in win 7 and on a dell Inspiron 560 MT and every time it loads a new mission or area it keeps dropping to the desktop and then going back to the loading screen again, no error messages appear either. The game runs and plays fine but is there any way to stop this irritating problem, it also happens on Deus Ex 2 made by the same developer.Thief deadly shadows keeps going to desktop while loading missions is there any way to stop this?
Try running it as an administrator, then run it under windows xp, or windows 98 compatibility.

Why does Portal 2 keep crashing?
I've been playing Portal 2 on my computer, and it's worked without a hitch. Then, I installed Deus Ex: Human Revolution through Steam. Now, I can't play Portal 2 for more than five minutes or so without it crashing. Any ideas? I think it must have to do with Deus Ex, but I don't know what. Why does Portal 2 keep crashing?

Dues ex human revolution frame rate issue?
i can max out crysis 2 but im having issues with deus ex human revolution. Seem like even with the most minimum settings the game stutters and slows down, besides that i have no artifacts on screen. I run a saphire hd6950 that i flashed with the 6970 bios with no issues. My processor is intel i7 2600k. My cousin overclocked my processor to what speed im not sure.Dues ex human revolution frame rate issue?

One thing I have noticed: The lagging is at its worst in the detoit hub; when you're away on missions its pretty smooth. I think it's a game issue.

I have 2 ATI Radeon cards in SLI mode. But it seems games run better when i run them on single card.... why?
I have 2 Radeon 5800 cards. When I run deus ex on a single card it runs smooth no probs. But when I run it on SLI crossfire mode, it seems slightly choppy in frame rate... Pls help why this is happening. I have payed lot of money for my second video card. I hope I didn't waste that money..I have 2 ATI Radeon cards in SLI mode. What the first guy said.
A lot of cards aren't optimized for Crossfire or SLI.I have 2 ATI Radeon cards in SLI mode. But it seems games run better when i run them on single card.... why?
Because some games aren't properly optimized for SLI/Crossfire mode (ATI's is called Crossfire, Nvidia is SLI). The only thing you can really do is hope for a patch/driver update.
Also make sure you download the proper CrossfireX Application Profiles which has optimizations for various games. You can download them here: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/p鈥?/a>

Judging from "SLI" mode I am going to guess you don't know much about this. I would say you need to update drivers, MAKE SURE YOUR MOTHERBOARD SUPPORTS IT. Go into CCC (Catalyst control center) and make sure you have the option for crossfire checked.I have 2 ATI Radeon cards in SLI mode. There may be a single driver version that might work with that particular model. Could be a year old. outdated driver that works better so these types of errors won't happen. That is why you will have driver profiles that can be to to autorun because some drivers are game specific. Radeon knows their own product. Call customer service line. First off, you're running them in Crossfire. SLI is for Nvidia cards. You're seeing lovely microstutters. Make sure you have the latest video drivers, the latest BIOS for your board, and the latest firmware for the cards. What board and CPU do you have?

Has anyone Completed DEUS EX Human Revelution twice over??.?
I just want to know that when you finish the game, can you repeat it and keep all your Weapons and upgrades to your Armour the 2nd time around??.Has anyone Completed DEUS EX Human Revelution twice over??.?
I'm doing a second playthrough on the hardest difficulty (the second playthrough becomes pretty easy though). No you can't keep your upgrades and weapons because you're starting out fresh again.Has anyone Completed DEUS EX Human Revelution twice over??.?
I never bothered. It's a huge disappointment in a game where you can just load 5 minutes before the end and change the ending... like all your choices meant nothing.
Deus Ex 1 had the same problem.. all my choices all the way through the game meant nothing because only the last choice matters. So I never played through twice.Has anyone Completed DEUS EX Human Revelution twice over??.?

You should go for the m14x because it has 3.0GHz which is really fast for pc gaming, the graphics card on both of them aren't really that different. Also the m14x has a wider display which makes everything much more comfortable to view. The m11x has much more ram but you should really get the m14x, the processor is the most important thing in a pc and the m14x has much more GHz than the m11x, but if you don't care about the cpu speed, gaming perfromance, and more of a comfortable view for gaming, go for the m11x. The only thing better about the m11x is the ram which is how many programs you can have up and running at one time.

hi,
http://www.fix-all-dll-errors.com/fmodex鈥?/a>
You can go to this site...this will help in case of missing or download dll's or errors in dll's..!
and will repair it if it's corrupted.I can't make deus ex human revolution work?
it could possibly be the disk...
try mounting it using a program like daemon tools and running it without the disk. sorry but that's the only idea i could come up with.

Help with a level on Deus Ex 1?
I'm on the level where i'm required to broadcast the message to the NSF and then get back to my brother Paul. Now,i'd love to do that, but the tunnel leading back to his apartment is now closed by 2 doors.I've completed the goals of broadcasting AND finding the evidence. Is this door thing still supposed to happen? It;s not covered in any walkthroughs.Help with a level on Deus Ex 1?
If I'm right, its been a long time from the last time I did this, you have to just walk out of the NSF building and follow the street, you have to go to the fire ladder that leads up to his room. The front door is blocked off or something.

I know you all are sick of this type of question but i need to know and I ran system requirements lab already and it said i met the minimum, BUT ive had a few really bad run ins with that website. It seems to have low specs but I wanna know what you guys think! How would Deus Ex Human Revolution fair on this Laptop?
On the lowest setting and it'll probably be missing a lot on the graphics end. I don't think it'll be a good gaming experience with your specs. How would Deus Ex Human Revolution fair on this Laptop?

Is Deus Ex: Human Revolution worth getting?
Well this game seems as though everyone loves it. I have read lots of reviews and all are positive about the game. It looks like an awesome game with the stealth, combat or espionage ways you can take on the game. All I am worried about really is that it will be one of those games where I play it once through and then put it down. Is it like Mass Effect 2 where you can play it over and over again or is it like Fallout 3, slow and boring, a game that I get half way through and then put it down forever. How long does the game take to finish? Could you guys give me a full run down on this game or if there is any other awesome roleplaying games out there.

Thanks GuysIs Deus Ex: Human Revolution worth getting?
Yes, I think it's worth buying. But... it depends a lot on what you like.
I think the gameplay is very good, the story line is captivating, the choice and consequence system is one of the better ones I've encountered. I have been happy with the choices I've made in the game but it's left me wondering what it would have been like if I made different choices. This will lend, I think, to at least one or two more play-throughs for me. (I'm not quite through the game but, apparently, am close).
The graphics are very well done. I was not disappointed but I also won't say they are ground-breaking.
I have found it to be quite fun so far. I especially like the mix of stealth, problem solving and "guns ablazing" moments/options. For the most part, the game has lived up to the hype though not completely. My personal score for the game would probably rate a 9 out of 10.Is Deus Ex: Human Revolution worth getting?
i found the game kinda boring but the story is so cool and talks about people moral feelings and minds toward a human evolution of self modding
brief summary

Why is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Running slow on my pc?
Ok.
Just downloaded it.
Turned all the settings to low.
Still Laggy as hell. But mw2 has NO lag on my pc.
I checked, i pass all the reccomended and required specs.
AMD Raedon 6450 gfx card, 3.5 gigs ram, 2.7 ghz, Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2390T CPU @ 2.70GHz
can someone explain why its running so slow or how to fix it?
btw windows 7Why is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Running slow on my pc?
It's your video card. It's not really meant for gaming. MW2 doesn't really demand high specs.
If possible, upgrade. That's the only way to really fix the problem
If on a budget, the 5670/6670 is the best for you. It could probably run on medium, some maybe high. Be sure to check your power supply too if planning on upgrading. If you have a 500w or better power supply, I recommend the GTX 550ti or the Radeon 6850. If you don't however, the 5670 is your best choice and you will have to run Deus Ex on medium/high.Why is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Running slow on my pc?
I don't know how the 6450 would meet the recommended requirements. It's not a gaming card. MW2 is a few years old and not using DirectX 11 featues like Deus Ex, so you can't compare the performance at all. The latest patch for the game fixed most of the major performance issues. Steam should have downloaded it automatically when you installed it though as long as you make sure your preferences for the game are set to always keep it up to date. Why is Deus Ex: Human Revolution Running slow on my pc?
Check your Processes to make sure you don't have anything extra that you don't want running in the background
the pro is to be in your settings, I think. somewhere must be wrong...

Deus Ex Human Revolution Help Please?
I'm stuck in the game. I just visited the limb clinic for the first time. Unfortunately I accidentally killed a civilian while talking to him... a bunch of police started to shoot at me and so i ran into the limb clinic. Now, whenever I walk out, the cops shoot at me and i die in like 2 seconds. I then have to load at the last save point only to spawn and get shot before I can even turn around and go back into the clinic..... I don't have invisibility either... Which of these 2 Games should I get?
You probably answered my question a few seconds ago, but I want to leave one of the games out. Which of these 2 games should I get for PS3 (And PLEASE don't give me other suggestions, these are what I want)? Deus Ex: Human Revolution or LA Noire?Which of these 2 Games should I get?
Dues Ex, it has more action in itWhich of these 2 Games should I get?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is extreme! The system is very easy to understand, with meaningful options, and you will end up with a character that supports your game play style after only a few missions worth of xp. The Hacking is a neat little sub game that you can easily master and it is so well integrated that you will find yourself looking for things to hack around every turn.Which of these 2 Games should I get?
Deus ex all the way. It has to be one of the best games I've ever played

Everyone's thoughts on the game Deus Ex and the upcoming prequel Deus Ex 3?
Deus Ex happens to be the FPS/RPG of the decade and surpassed the basis of story telling as well as gameplay. When i played this game as a kid i thought that it was beyond great, the game was SPECTATCULAR beyond belief.
As for the sequel of the game Deus Ex: Invisible War, it didnt reach to high popularity as its predecessor. Actually as a matter of fact it did worse then the first game, not to mention that the games main antagonist JC Denton, whom was the main character of the first game, was a complete fail. Voice acting was too quick not to mention terrible, and the fate of JC just ended retardedly.
I hope that the upcoming prequel will be better then that of the 2nd game. But if possible, perhaps........... it may be better then the first??Everyone's thoughts on the game Deus Ex and the upcoming prequel Deus Ex 3?
Deus Ex was awesome.
Invisible War wasn't worth the plastic it was printed on.
It'd be great if DE3 turned out faithful to the original, but I've long learned not to hold my breath too much, especially where sequels are concerned.
Still, Thief 3 didn't turn out too bad.

Is Half-Life (the original), System Shock 1/2 or Deus Ex the most revolutionary within their genres?
Hi all,
I played Half-Life and finished it when I was just 8. Drew a line suffice to say.
Then Deus Ex came out when I was 11 or something, and was just as incredible as Half-Life was but it was an RPG.
Funnily I played System Shock last, was more into the fallout series in that period but was completely convinced.
I speak as a wholesale and utter fan of all three.
What I'm saying is - which game made the greatest influence In it's time and genre relative to eachother? Is Half-Life (the original), System Shock 1/2 or Deus Ex the most revolutionary within their genres?
I think Half-Life and System Shock were more a triumph of atmosphere and production values, whereas Deus Ex was a revolutionary change to game architecture. The degree of freedom Deus Ex gave you to approach problems was incredible, and it also made the game more immersive (I remember searching for Illuminati on the internet while playing it, scribbling clues down on bits of paper). Best game ever.Is Half-Life (the original), System Shock 1/2 or Deus Ex the most revolutionary within their genres?
Yes Deus ex was
But system shock 2 and 1 pioneered it.
Same thing as to doom and quake for halflife

The problem with your laptop if the Geforce 520M. It's an entry-level GPU, so don't expect much performance - the game will lag. Low settings might save you but the lag makes it difficult to really enjoy DX: HR.
TFT2 should be able to run fine on low / medium.

Hi im going to be buying a laptop soon for playing games such as tf2 and deus ex?
would this laptop be suitable for my needs the laptop has
proccesor:AMD Quad-Core A8-3520M (1.6 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache)
Ram: 6 GB (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 4 GB)
graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6620G + 7450M Dual GPU
1 GB DDR3 dedicated
Screen type: HD LED BrightView
Hard drive: 750 GB
and how fast would the laptop be, and by that would i be able to play tf2 and deus ex smoothly and surfing the web with ease.Hi im going to be buying a laptop soon for playing games such as tf2 and deus ex?
2 things would bug me.
The processor is not very fast. The quad-core is good, but 1.6Ghz is not very fast. I'd prefer at least a 2.2 Ghz
And the RAM? a 2Gb chip %26amp; a 4Gb chip? Seems a bit uneven.
I'm sure a total 4Gb (2 x 2Gb chips) would be adequate, and much better balanced.
But the big question... Do you really need the portability of a laptop, or will you just be using it at home? Unless you are going to need to carry it about, you can get a higher-spec desktop PC for much better value.Hi im going to be buying a laptop soon for playing games such as tf2 and deus ex?

Gears of War 3 or Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
Both of these games look epic and one of them is made by epic. LOL. Na but these games have equally good reviews and they look like they have similar cover systems. I love shooters like Mass Effect 2 but I don't know which one of these games will keep me playing and playing like CoD.
Will I ever get bored of GoW or Deus Ex.
If you guys could highlight the pros cons of both these games that would be great p.s. I have play a little bit of the previous GoW's.

Deus Ex is a must buy for anyone who likes a fantastic story and quality gameplay. It's mostly a First Person game, but it is like Fallout in the RPG kinda sense. You upgrade your character how you want to, find alternate routes to accomplish goals and play it how you want. I know it sounds kinda clich茅 in a way, but trust me it's WORTH IT. You can take on enemies like a ninja %26amp; avoid them. Or go in guns blazing and kill EVERYONE. I'm not sure if it helps to play the previous titles to understand the story but I think it's useful to get an idea of things.
The only thing that Gears 3 and DE have related is the cover system.
Gears 3 is more or less the same game as before, despite what everyone claims it is. The base game is pretty much the previous titles. Of course the new modes are added and the story is different but it's over hyped in my opinion.
So as you asked:
Gameplay: Deus Ex
Graphics: Both
Re-playability: Deus Ex
Fun-ability: Deus Ex
Coolness: Deus Ex
Seriously it's pretty damn fun to figure new things out.. of course G3 is going to be popular because of the multiplayer, but I guess I'm being a bit biased on my choices. Overall though, pick what you think YOU'LL enjoy the most.
One key point: You're trying to compare two different game styles
Gears is bloody as hell and is a 3rd Person Cover based game
Deus Ex is mainly First Person with 3rd Person Cover elements
With all this said: I'm not a fan boy by any means, I just see when a game is quite overrated
I have to point out something. I have enjoyed both, but because I have more of a past with Deus Ex, I chose that one. But like I said before they're both great games, it's all up to you on what you think will be the better buy. I'd get HR right now and wait for G3 to go down a bit. So you're welcome
I'm borrowing it from my friend many months later and WOOOOOOOWWW amazing game as I thought. Surprisingly LOOOOONNNNGGG as all hell which I just adore.
get Deus Ex: HR seeing as u could not bother to finish the other 2 GoW games
none of them play like CoD
DE:HR is more like ME.
Warhammer 40k Space Marine vs GoW3 is the question tho, ppl say Warhammer is a ripoff of GoW but its the other way round seeing as Warhammer is like 20 yrs old but both games are awesome, just get them all over time, dnt need them all at once or dnt need to get 1 or the other.Gears of War 3 or Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is extreme! The system is very easy to understand, with meaningful options, and you will end up with a character that supports your game play style after only a few missions worth of xp. The Hacking is a neat little sub game that you can easily master and it is so well integrated that you will find yourself looking for things to hack around every turn.
In my opinion, you should get Gears of War 3. The all new Horde 2.0 looks totally sick. You team up with 5 gears and there is also new features to it. Such as the laser barriers. I think Deus Ex looks ok, but not really my stle. The online multiplayer in Gears of War has also improved since GoW2. ---Sweatshirt Boiz 4ever

Batman Arkham City or Deus Ex Human Revolution?
Which game of the two should I get for my Ps3? I Love being stealthy in video games but I don't own any games dedicated to stealth, just games with stealths parts in them (uncharted 1-3 etc).
I heard on deus ex, you can play the entire game stealth like and that seems like my type of game. But I heard the A.I isn't the best and it can get annoying.
Batman has been getting Nothing but amazing reviews and great feedback and it looks amazing. Not sure if theres much stealth in this pick, so could someone please explain how stealth is in this game (sneaking up on enemies, using stealth to avoid etc). I also HEARD (not saying this is true), that it is a bit like Infamous 2, which I though was great.
Also
Which game has more replayability?
Better story (havn't played the previous games and not the biggest batman fanatic out there?)
Do I need to play Arkham Asylum to understand AC's story (I know Human Rev is a prequel).
Thanks for reading and answering.Batman Arkham City or Deus Ex Human Revolution?

If u r looking for replayability I got through the main campaign on Arkham city and it said I was only through 35% of the content the rest are side missions or side campaigns. I don't even really know batman games and that one was great. No need to play asylum cuz I didn't and I got the storyline well. And you can be stealth or just go and attack the peopleBatman Arkham City or Deus Ex Human Revolution?
Deus Ex. My boyfriend loves video games and loved Arkham City, however, he only played AA for a little before returning it. He played Deus Ex non-stop.

Should I get Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC or PS3?
I prefer Action RPGs like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc. on PC. Not to mention I am far better with FPS using a Mouse and Keyboard. However, I don't know whether Deus Ex is going to more hand to hand, i.e. Batman Arkham Asylum, which I think a controller would be better for. Based on what I've seen and read it looks like it is more of a shooter with some hand to hand like Uncharted. So any help would be appreciated!

Its a good question. Im a ps3 %26amp; pc owner but my pc is past it now. And im totaly with you on using mouse+keyboard for fps.
If i had the choice id get it for pc easily. Will be cheaper too, which is always a bonus these days lol
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a worthy prequel to these games. If you like cybernetics, scifi, etc this is for you. While the game (so far ive only played for about 2 hours) has some minor issues (i found that the cover system isnt perfect or maybe its my playing style)I felt like this is a stroke of good luck for us gamers...with so many crap games coming out...Im looking forward to playing more of this.Should I get Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC or PS3?
PC! But I'm a biased PC gamer. :)
its gonna be DRM direct to steam so in the end might as well get it for the console incase i want to sell it later, i doubt the graphics are gonna be that much better on pc for this gameShould I get Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC or PS3?
your pc set up is good so id go for pc proberly gonna get better gameplay that way aswell. ps3 kinda sucks compare to pc game community.

B&A: I've a question about a probable deus ex machina in my book. Help, please?
I've just woken up and in that time between dream and reality when you slowly debate whether it is worth opening your eyes or not, I was thinking about this.
There is a scene in my first novel of a series that has my MC's see a dragon die, that was dear to them; it was murdered by three people who are ganging up on the MC's at the current time with the intent to kill them too. Then the dragon's spirit shoots straight into the closest MC. This is because, right after the death, spirits leave the body but want to return, and as it's aloft in the air as a silvery ball, it goes into the nearest living person. That person then sees the memories and past thoughts of the one who's dead. When it doesn't recongise the person as their own body, the spirit leaves straight after. You get me?
This is explained right after that, but I fear that, already, the little scene can be considered one with a deus ex machina.
However, this little scene shows/gives three other things:
1. It shows a little more about spirits, and the Spirit World is very important in my story.
2. It gives an explanation as to why another character goes through the same thing, by seeing the dead's memory and all, in a later book. So, the scene basically sets the ground for that.
3. It also gives a little insight to how dragons are treated by some people in my world, alongside proof as to why a certain character can't be in public or around the people they love anymore.
Even with those three points, would it still be considered a deus ex machina. I'm a little worried because in that scene things just happen there and then and almost completely out of thin air for the reader, which perhaps might make them think that this is the deus ex machina.
I think I've been worrying about this for a while.
BQ: Um... this may seem like a weird question but, how do you pronounce 'deus ex machina'? I've always done it as if the phrase was French, not Latin, even though I know it's Latin. So I say it in my head like 'duh ehy mashina'. xD You? Haha ....B%26amp;A: I've a question about a probable deus ex machina in my book. Help, please?
Hehe, well it's not French, it's Latin, like you said, so it's "DAY-oos EX MACH-ee-nah" pronouncing every syllable.
I think that even though your plot point comes "out of nowhere" that isn't necessarily deus ex machina. It's explained well enough and has a purpose, and isn't just a godlike manipulation of your power as a writer to save everyone at the end ;)B%26amp;A: I've a question about a probable deus ex machina in my book. Help, please?
A dues ex machina is usually more of a cope-out (usually, to help the protagonists) Even though this seems to just happen, I don't think it's a dues ex machina. It's more like a plot twist/secret of the world that's more important to the story, instead of something that's like "Are you kidding me?" just to make the hero's life easier.

Can I play Deus ex Human revolution?
Hello I was just wondering if my computer specs would be able to run deus ex human revolution. I'm not saying max settings x max resolution (being as my monitors max is 1280x1024) But since they don't have a demo out I don't want to buy a $50+ game and not be able to play it. My system specs are
2.4Ghz(Rated3.9Ghz) Amd Athlon 64 Single Core
2Gb Ram DDR2
Nvidia Geforce 550Ti
So do you guys believe i would be able to play it? I was able to play games like Bulletstorm and Fear 2 and Crysis on max settings no problem. I just want to make sure I would be able to run this. I also do not trust systemreq labs because they say this computer can't even play Oblivion with i max it with a steady average of 60fps+Can I play Deus ex Human revolution?

In Deus Ex Human Revolution, what is the best strategy to acrue PP (augmentation points) over the course of...?
I'm a completionist in games like this to a point, so I hate only unlocking a sliver of the guy's potential. So in Deus Ex Human Revolution, what is the best strategy to acrue the most PP (augmentation points) over the course of the game? For example, even though I've never played the original, I've learned that non-lethal tactics will earn more experience, and also that tranq darts are the more common loot out of my 2 first choices of non-lethal weapons, but it's common enough to have enough ammo to use on everyone. I used a takedown, but used my only extra energy cell on the first board on the first guy, so that doesn't look like a promising strategy. What ammo/tactic should I be using and what kind of things should I be looking for (empty grates, destructible walls, etc)?In Deus Ex Human Revolution, what is the best strategy to acrue PP (augmentation points) over the course of...?
I rarely use stealth (but I get bonus points inadvertently a lot even when I'm not trying to be stealthy or was caught or wasn't doing it on purpose or don't know what I did to earn them) and never use non-lethal weapons (unless I'm out of everything else or if I have to), I still get enough points to unlock almost all of the augmentations.
Being a marksman gets you the Marksman xp bonus for each headshot kill you make. The pistol is best for this because it's good at putting in well-placed shots. You can also do this with a sniper rifle, a weapon with a laser sight, or other weapons if your aim is good. You can get this bonus too at random if a turret or sentry you hack kills the enemies with a headshot.
Silent takedowns and nonlethal kills gets you the Merciful Soul xp bonus. I can't exactly remember if an augmentation upgrade had anything to do with it, but the last battery still recharges if you've used up all the others.
Not being seen by enemies on a level gets you the Ghost xp bonus. Watch their patrol paths or field of view. Wait until they turn their backs before killing them, and when no one is looking. The cloak augmentation is good for this, and so is the wall lean.
Read all the e-books and newspapers, even if just hitting the button and closing out. You get the Scholar xp bonus for being an avid reader.
Not setting off alarms on a level gets you the Smooth Operator bonus. There are always control panels nearby to shut them off, or avoid being seen, or stop someone trying to set off an alarm before they do.
Hack every computer and control panel you see. This is really just a waste of time but you get a lot of xp for it. Get those cube-shaped nodes for goodies (credits, virus program, worm program, or xp points). You also get the hacking bonuses like script kiddie, gray hat, black hat, master hacker, etc.
Go into every air duct or secret area to get the Pathfinder xp bonus. Again, this is really a waste of time. Except for the secret passages that gets you to some useful reward like a heavy weapon or a praxis kit. Find those back doors.
Find the hidden areas behind walls with a crack in it. They often have credits, weapons, weapons upgrades, or praxis kits. You can actually get a good number of praxis kits by finding these secret areas. The augmented strength punch and object highlighting helps with this, or an explosive. If you go into every room with a lock, you'd be surprised at what you could find. Like some apartments being an illegal augmentation lab with praxis kits. Explore every bit of the levels.
Some praxis kits will actually be just in plain sight for your taking, but it could be a trap.
Get a lot of credits, so you can buy those praxis kits from the LIMB clinics (even Panchea has one). You get an automatic 10k credit bonus (plus new weapons) in the beginning if you have the pre-order or DLC. Or ransack every room, closet drawer, office, safe (wall safes are often hidden behind suspicious picture frames on walls), lockup, and locker you see and look for credit chips lying around throughout a level. You can also sell inventory items you don't need to arms dealers to get credits, including picking up enemies' dropped weapons or stuff laying around and go trade them.
Doing all the secondary objectives or side quests gets you the Completionist xp. But some people in the side quests may reward you with a praxis kit. So can a silver tongue. like Bobby Bao in the Hive nightclub who gives you a praxis kit if you do his side quest. And general xp during the missions.

Help with Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
When I try to launch it from Steam, it says "Preparing to launch Deus Ex: Human Revolution" and eventually that window goes away, but the game never comes up. I've tried various fixes, like creating a new user on Windows and trying it from there, but that doesn't work. I've deleted the game and redownloaded it, but it doesn't work. I've also noticed a bunch of "dxhr_620_crash_2011_8_23T20_14_29C0.mdm鈥?type files in the game's folder. Here are the specs.
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz
4.0 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64-bitHelp with Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
Hey I HAD the same exact issues as you seem to be having! And I pretty much have nearly the same specs, so I remembered to come back here to help you out since I was glad that I wasn't the only one with the problem and because I figured it out.
If you've already made sure that your drivers are up-to-date (like I did) and already tried re-downloading/re-installing the game (like I did...) and whatever else, then I think the answer to your question is the next step:
Since you have 64-bit like me, browse to this extension:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64
Then scroll down to (or just start typing) "atiadlxy.dll" and change the ".dll" part to ".bak"!!!
So in the end it should say "atiadlxy.bak"
Now try launching the game again in Steam!!! It should work!!
I spent pretty much an ENTIRE day on trying to get this game to work and turns out it's a tiny file name somewhere that I had to change that wasn't even part of the game but more so part of the system ...
So I hope this fix works for you! Let me know if it doesn't.
OTHERS: If anyone else is stuck but have 32-bit Windows then go to (C:\Windows\System32) instead and change "atiadlxx.dll" to "atiadlxx.bak"!! Then try launching the game :)

Why wont deus ex human revolution work?
I have downloaded and cracked deus ex human revolution, but whenever I open it a message comes up saying 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution is already running on this computer, but can not switch to it. This is probably caused by the game running from a different user.' I am running an AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core QL-64 prosesor with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics. I have been able to run other games suc as bioshock 2, but is my computer to low spec to run the game? Why wont deus ex human revolution work?

Is Deus Ex Human Revolution something worth buying considering the games i play?
Okay, so today's big Steam sale is Deus Ex Human Revolution for $16.99. What I want to know is whether or not this is something worth buying for me.
Here are the games I play, and only base your answer off of what I like please.
Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Elder Scrolls Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, LIMBO, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.
Okay, so answer soon!Is Deus Ex Human Revolution something worth buying considering the games i play?
I was very skeptical of Deus Ex at first, but now it's one of my favorite games I've ever bought for my Xbox 360. It's sort of like Fallout, but in a very futuristic Chicago with a hint of Gears of War (which isn't in your list, but there are some similarities with the combat system). And for only $17, that's not too bad of a price and I would buy it.
so so
deus ex has the best game story that i have played /seen the game is like metal gear solid if you a fan of solid you should get it but just a warning you will get bored starting from the thrid mission becuase you only see or do the same thing over and over again
and as you can see in youtube or forums or edios site there will be a sequel this is a spoiler becuase megan reed there is a lot of question that need answers if she did or not plan the attack or she has a evil side or obession with her research same for adam as her
i recommend buying this game its worth but for me stealth is not my type of game
you acutally have feelings of the game when you finish itIs Deus Ex Human Revolution something worth buying considering the games i play?
Yes, the game is a huge free roam, do your own thing and do what ever game. Its a huge game and very enjoyable.
i dunno i bought this game on console but i thought it was really bad but look at reviews and vids to decide. Is Deus Ex Human Revolution something worth buying considering the games i play?

Why is Deus Ex Human Revolution running so slow?
I just bought Deus Ex HR the other day for my new pc. When I booted it, I found that the menu runs incredibly slow. The gameplay is also really slow. My specs are AMD Fx-6100 3.3GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX560 2Gb, and 8Gb of ram. I can run GTAIV and Dead Space 2 on highest graphics, but I can barely run Deus Ex HR on lowest. I had no background programs running. I am also on steam, so I know I have all the updates. I also just made sure that my graphics drivers are up to date. Anyone know why its running slow? Why is Deus Ex Human Revolution running so slow?
Very odd. Right click on DEHR on the steam client and verify the files. Right away it seems like its your drivers to me. DL a driver sweeper, and do a fresh install. Could be a hardware/video card issue as well, try a larger array of games and really crank up all the settings.
Check the settings too, make sure 3d or something isn't on.
Hit Ctrl alt del, go to processes and make sure you see 6 boxes for your CPU just to be sure your CPU is functioning correctly. I once overdrive for my amd processor and only one core was working haha

Well Deus Ex was origionally a PC series so its a bit better on PC and of course, the graphics will be a lot better on PC. But if your wondering weather or not your computer will run it, I'd just go the safe way and just get it for PS3 because you don't have to worry about specs lol. The only advantages you'll get on PC is the graphics and maybe faster loading times.Which is better to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution?

Will Deus Ex Human Revolution run well on my PC?
My specs (it's a 5 year old machine, but has been playing recent games like Crysis, Crysis 2, ME2, Arkham Asylum at high settings, but i have to keep it at 1400x900 res and no Vsync and sometimes I can afford to put some 2X AA.) Ran CPU reliant games like Assassins Creed 2 and Battlefield 2 badly.
Core 2 Duo E6400 2.1 ghz
2GB of RAM
ATI RADEON 4850 1GB VRAM
Please dont tell me to upgrade, I plan to do so next year, but I really want to play Deus Ex on my PC. Thanks in advance :)Will Deus Ex Human Revolution run well on my PC?
It is decent enough to run deus ex human revolution, probably running at medium but maybe you can do vsync and higher resolution
deus ex hr will be heavy on your processor which is only meeting the minimum requirements, so the loading times will be long(average 25 seconds on a highend computer)
Great! Enjoy the game!
Sorry i forgot to mention the patch
I would say Medium and Low settings. The dual core is bit slow to run Deus Ex smoothly.

Not on high settings.
Might run on medium

Games like Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.?
I am really into the FPS / TPS RPG games like Oblivion and Fallout 3. I have played Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Mass Effect 1,2 , and Deus Ex 3. I currently have a PS3 and 360, so I was wondering if there were any other games like these ones, preferably in the current gen.Games like Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.?
Dragon Age series
Borderlands
Witcher series
Fable series
Daemon's soulGames like Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.?
off the top of my head i can think of infamous and GTA4. both of them give you choices that determine the outcome of the story and are free roam. otherwise, the DLC for fallout 3 and new vegas should be checked out. oh, and for fallout 3, don't get point lookout.Games like Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.?

I have a SiS Mirage 661FX video card. 1.2 GB RAM... Windows 7 OS and 3.07 Ghz Pentium IV HT processor. The problem is, whenever I try to play Deus Ex : Invisible War, the game says "video card not supported" and exits... This thing is really frustrating me.. Any solutions ??

Unfortunately, unless your video card has the physical components to support Pixel Shader 1.1, Deus Ex: Invisible War simply will not work.

1 deus ex question and 1 la noire?
deus ex human revolution what will be the ammo system in game the noraml 1 bullet at a time or deus ex 2 ammo ?
and on the rock star website saids la noire was coming to the pc in fall this year any ideas if it is true
or just rock star blowing smoke out of there @$$ again1 deus ex question and 1 la noire?
For the Deus Ex question, I would be very surprised if they do it in the style of DE:IW given how many complaints were had about that. Try asking on the Deus Ex forums, the producers have been really responsive to all questions so far.
I don't really know about LA Noire but I do know I hate Rockstar and their PC ports are usually awful.1 deus ex question and 1 la noire?

Uncharted 3 or Deus Ex?
So, I wanted to buy myself a game for the holidays, and I am debating between Uncharted 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I liked Uncharted 2, but it wasn't mind-blowing for me (The mutants were kinda lame). I have never played Deus Ex before. I have heard Uncharted 3 is a let down, but is it still better than Deus Ex? I am only willing to buy one.Uncharted 3 or Deus Ex?
Uncharted 3 is amazing I recently beat it the story line is incredibleUncharted 3 or Deus Ex?
well it depends, do you like stealth/shooter/rpg then Deus ex is for you but if you like adventure/shooter then Uncharted 3 is for you, you don麓t haft to play the first Deus ex too understand the other one, Uncharted 3 is not as good as Uncharted 2 but it is realy a good game. it is your own choice mateUncharted 3 or Deus Ex?

Can anyone help me troubleshoot Deus Ex Invisible War on my PC
The problem I'm having is when I start the game it gets to the load screen and then crashes back to my desk top, I have all the necessary specs. but I do have Win Vista, I have changed the compatibility mode to XP w/serv pack 2. I also have the latest patch and it still hasn't worked, my son has similar specs on his PC and Vista and it works for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone help me troubleshoot Deus Ex Invisible War on my PC
Do you have a dual-core processor? If you can somehow disable one of the cores, specifically for that game (by using task manager or something), then it might work. For some reason, it doesn't really seem to be compatible with dual-cores.

Deus ex human revolution - can you continue your character to a 2nd playthrough and if yes how?
No you cant. You have to start a brand new save game.
Does Deus Ex Invisible War work on Laptops?
I just shelled out about 2 grand for a brand new LG laptop, and I've been having a blast installing games and switching over all my programs, etc.
I was especially looking forward to being able to install and play Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, as my previous machine couldn't run it.
Strangely enough, when I go to start it, it simply shows a blank screen, indefinitely...
It's a powerhouse (specs below), and it can run Half Life 2 at full res no sweat, as well as Splinter Cell: Double Agent.
Laptop Specs:
-----------------------
Intel Centrino Duo 2.00 Ghz
2046 MB RAM
NVidia GeForce 8600M GS
-------------------------------------
That's WAY beyond the minimum specs for Deus Ex 2.
Anyone know why it won't work?
Thanks,
-ChrisDoes Deus Ex Invisible War work on Laptops?
Just a couple of random thoughts. Make sure you have all of the patches. Since your computer is new, it might be running some flavor of Vista. Vista has a history of compatibility issues with many programs and software (even programs developed by Microsoft for older versions of Windows!) Try running the game in Compatibility Mode.

are you running vista? do you have the most current video card drivers from nvidia? that wil more than likely fix your problem. vista has a compatibility wizard that should help you get the game to work

Alright Deus Ex HR or Splinter Cell Conviction Questions?
1. Which has a longer single player storyline.
2. Your opinion Graphics wise
3. Conclusion (Not compulsory)
Cheers guys (sensible answers please)Alright Deus Ex HR or Splinter Cell Conviction Questions?
1 - google or yahoo search are your friends...Deus ex clocks in at over 30 hrs (and thats just your first play through) and splinter cell will be over after 10-12. Both answers available in any decent review of either game.
2 - Graphics wise, agan...think about it! Splinter cell is a couple years old, and while the engine is pretty, its beginning to show its age. Deus ex has been optimized for the newest hardware.
3- Conclusions - 5 minutes of research could have answered both of these questions for you!

On my computer i have a amd athlon dual core processor 4450 2.30GHz and 2.87GB of ram and i have a Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics cardWhy is deus ex running so bad?
try to lower resolution of your graphic card or just format your machine its happen even with good machines ^ ^ maybe your computer have virus or something i just see your characteristic its should run in perfect its also could be processor because game need core 2 quad processor here characteristic to play game Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Minimum:
2 GHz dual core CPU
1 GB RAM (XP) / 2 GB (Vista and Windows 7)
NVIDIA GeForce 8 series or ATI Radeon HD 2000 series or better GPU
Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 with DirectX 9.0c OS
8.5 GB free hard disk space
Recommended:
AMD Phenom II X4 or Intel Core 2 Quad or better CPU
2 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 5850 or better GPU
Windows 7 OS
8.5 GB free hard disk space
so your computer meet medium caracteristic according to this table
just go to your geforce graphic options and low resolution from there some games cannot play in high resolution

For people who have played and beaten dead island or deus ex hr...?
How long did it take you to beat the main quest or do most of the stuff in the game? I want to rent both games but the easiest place seems to be redbox where they cost 2 dollars per day. Are any of this games beatable in one weekend or a little more? I really can't buy either of this games right now. Deus ex i want mostly for the main quest and story and dead island to play with a friend in coop or even solo. So how long does it take to get through most of either game? For people who have played and beaten dead island or deus ex hr...?
It took me about 14 hours to beat Deus Ex HR, trying to finish every side-quest and being stealthy.
Dead Island took me 30+ hours for a single (solo) walkthough and considering there are four characters to play AND a new game+ option...For people who have played and beaten dead island or deus ex hr...?
Play dead island co-op its ALOT more fun trust me I just beat it (literally like an hour ago) really fun during co-op just make sure you play with cool people it makes a big difference. The games pretty hard to beat on your own. But yeah it took me 18hours and 22min according to my saved file to beat dead island but i definitely did NOT do all the side quests i did alot just not all. and sorry idk about deus exFor people who have played and beaten dead island or deus ex hr...?
Deus Ex you can get through in two days even with doing a couple side missions. I'm sure that it can be beaten even sooner than that. Dead Island however took me about three days solo, I'm sure it'd be faster with friendschinese food delivery dmv nc

no way bro. You will run that game on super low. I have an ati 6570 which cost me 60 bucks exact and can run it maximum(without shadows) go to www.systemrequirementslab.comCan my computer run the game Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
If it can run crysis, then yeah it should.
Also giving just the video card doesn't really help, need more info like cpu and RAM.....

Half-Life 1 or Deus Ex, which should I buy?
I greatly enjoyed HL2 and its one of my favorite fps games, but PC gamer named Deus Ex as its top pc game of all time, that has to count for something, I only have $10. Another question is, should I just save my money for starcraft 1 or diablo 2, if so, then which?Half-Life 1 or Deus Ex, which should I buy?
HL1 is an FPS with some platform elements.
Unlike HL2, HL1 has significantly more puzzles (you'll notice a few that seem similar, and think how much of a rip off the 'version' in HL2 is). And more complex puzzles.
Also, my biggest gripe of HL2 is how you just keep walking forwards. HL1 suffers similarly, but you also traverse back many times, or will stay in a general area. HL1 makes its levels feel more WHOLE while HL2 just wants you to get out of them.
Not to mention, the Hazardous Environment Suit will ACTUALLY repel radiation (unlike HL2 where it... is just a combat vest)
Deus-Ex is also not an FPS, but it has this whole "conspiracy" angle, as well as having a plethora of "book content" (meaning the game is better if you read). As I said, it's not really an FPS. It makes stealth far too easy and direct confrontation far too hard. *Though direct confrontation gets easier as the game progresses, stealth remains insanely over powered (in part due to bad AI but...)
Diablo II is "kind of fun" but is geared at the hardcore group... and suffers seriously unbalanced classes. (Barb is easy mode, Sorc is impossible mode [you will fear elemental resistances], Amazon is WTF mode [you don't kill fast enough without strafe... but you don't get any of the "coolness" with it], Necro is fun and deadly... but is easy to kill without summons, and pally is "why the hell would I want to play this")
It's fun, but the content is very weak and can be quite repetitive.
